The Best Area Builders and architects

The breathtaking scenery of Preserve at Rock Creek serves as a natural canvas to showcase the casually elegant design of our custom homes, which blend beautifully into the Western North Carolina mountainside.

While land owners at Preserve at Rock Creek are free to choose their own mountain construction team, we have chosen to use only those architects and builders with long-standing reputations as the best in the Cashiers and Highlands area.  Their superb workmanship and attention to detail makes building on mountain real estate simple.

Mountainworks, LTD.

We are privileged to host several homes designed by Mountainworks, Ltd., a custom home design firm located in the Cashiers area.  Their homes are skillfully designed to mirror the natural surroundings on the various homesites.

Many homes designed by Mountainworks have won national awards, including one at Preserve at Rock Creek – the Rock Mountain Cottage – which won a top honors American Residential Design Award in the model home category.  Additionally, Mountainworks has been featured in a number of national magazines, each lauding them for their extraordinary home designs.

President of the highly skilled Mountainworks team is Travis Mileti, a 20 year specialist in designing custom homes in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Travis specializes in creating "mountainesque" homes by using antique logs, lumber, and many old world styles throughout his designs.  Each home's design is based on the specific topography, view orientation, and solar influence, as well as the desires and lifestyle of his clients.

DAVID REESE CONSTRUCTION, INC.

With more than two decades of construction experience in Western North Carolina, David Reese has developed a keen eye for what makes a custom home in the Blue Ridge Mountains spectacular.
